A personal note from Ocean Robbins
My grandfather founded the Baskin-Robbins ice cream company.
My dad, John Robbins, grew up in that world. But he took a very different path.
I was born in a one-room log cabin to parents who practiced yoga and meditation for hours each day, and named their kid Ocean. They almost named me “Kale,” way before kale was cool.
I grew up eating food we grew in our garden. And it worked pretty well for me. I ran my first marathon at age 10.
My dad became a bestselling author, inspiring a generation with his books about food and health. In 2012, I joined him to launch Food Revolution Network.
